Mission Statement

We, the Calhoun Police Department, will serve our community with the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and professionalism. We will meet the needs of our diverse community through the continued cooperation of our administration and by cementing a bond between the citizenry, other area law enforcement agencies and ourselves. We will not forget that we exist to serve and that by enforcing the law justly and fairly, we can bring stability into our society, as no other agency can.

The Calhoun Police Department has responded to the demands for increased law enforcement by providing the best possible service to our citizens to prevent and decrease thefts, accidents, and other crimes. In order to facilitate the maximum use of resources, the Police Department actively solicits and encourages the cooperation of all citizens to decrease the opportunities for criminal activity. The department continues to work diligently through the Safe Streets Program to reduce the drug distribution and usage in the City of Calhoun. The Police Department strives to promote a high level of proficiency within the officers of the department through training and implementation of the latest and most effective techniques as well as continue law enforcement education.
