Recreation Department – Program Coordinator

The City of Calhoun is now accepting applications for Program Coordinator in the Recreation department.

Qualifications: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in: Recreation Administration, Leisure Services, Sports Management or related field.  Must have at least 6 months professional programming experience in the field of Recreation or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.

Under general supervision from the Recreation Director, develops, coordinates, implements, schedules and evaluates a variety of programs including athletics, camps, leisure/instructional classes. Wellness/fitness, and programming for special populations.  This position will also be responsible for recommending staff for hire, discipline and/or termination.

Work schedule may require extended work hours depending on Department needs including night, weekend, and holidays.
