Training Instructor – Fire Department

The City of Calhoun Fire Department is now accepting applications for Training Instructor.

Duties and responsibilities include: assisting with the daily operations in the assigned divisions of the Fire Department for Training and Special Operations. Maintains records pertinent to the training division; may assist in the curriculum development process; coordinates and/or delivers training classes and programs.

Minimum Qualifications to apply are: GA State Office of EMS Advanced EMT license; GA State Office of EMS Advanced EMT Instructor Coordinator; National Registry of EMT’s advanced EMT Certification; State of GA Class F driver’s license; Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible service as a Firefighter/Advanced EMT in a fully paid fire department with a minimum of 3-5 years of middle /senior level supervisory experience in a Fire Department of equivalent size; Basic Life Support Instructor Certification; Ability to obtain other certifications required for the job of Training Division Coordinator as specified by the department.
