The City of Calhoun Fire Department is now accepting applications for Chief of Training and Special Operations.
Duties and responsibilities include: managing and overseeing the daily operations in the assigned divisions of the Fire Department for Training and Special Operations. Responsible for the management and delivery of emergency response training, special operations, and EMS programs for members of the department, other outside agencies and members of the community.
Minimum Qualifications to apply are: Associate’s Degree in Fire Science or related field; GA State Office of EMS Advanced EMT license; GA State Office of EMS Advanced EMT Instructor Coordinator; National Registry of EMT’s advanced EMT Certification; State of GA Class F driver’s license; Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible service as a Firefighter/Advanced EMT in a fully paid fire department with a minimum of 3-5 years of middle /senior level supervisory experience in a Fire Department of equivalent size; Basic Life Support Instructor Certification; Ability to obtain other certifications required for the job of Training Division Coordinator as specified by the department.
