Assistant Finance Director

The City of Calhoun is now accepting applications for an Assistant Finance Director in the Finance department.

This position assists in managing the financial recording and reporting in accordance with GAAP and GASB guidelines. Assists with annual audit; coordinates the development of the annual budget; and ensures accuracy of the general ledger and financial data. Monitors investments and adjusts to market monthly.

Qualifications are: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; 5-10 years of experience in governmental accounting; proficient knowledge of Excel; supervisory skills are a necessity and  ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees and department heads.
