The Mayor and Council of the City of Calhoun will attend a joint meeting with Gordon County and the cities of Fairmount, Plainville, and Resaca on Wednesday, July 5th, at 9:00 AM. The meeting will be held in the Gordon County Administrator’s Office at 201 North Wall Street. This is a required meeting to discuss possible projects for inclusion in the 2018 SPLOST Referendum which will be placed on the November 7, 2017 ballot.
The City of Calhoun Police Department is now accepting applications for a police officer.
Qualifications are: high school diploma or equivalent; valid Georgia driver’s license; no felony arrest record; certified police officer preferred; bilingual a plus; ability to pass medical and physical fitness exam as required by the State of Georgia.
Applications are available at City Hall, 226 South Wall Street during normal business hours.
